The “Heart and Soul” Art Class

A fun and therapeutic abstract art class where art and inspiration combine to help you navigate mental health and soul care wellness.

Experience a relaxing art class like never before, as Desiraé Ofori combines her professional expertise as an Abstract Artist and Mental Health Therapist.

Enjoy a beginner-friendly art activity while learning practical tips for overall mental health and soul care wellness.

This class is not a substitute for individualized mental health therapy. However, it is a fun, laid-back, low pressure way to get the conversation started to learn healthy options you may have never considered before.

This is a therapeutic art class for the heart and soul!

Desiraé can assist you in creating a tailor-made class that caters to your preferred art activity, speaking topic, and group interests. She will work with you to ensure it is a class you and your guests will cherish and remember for years to come!

What Will We Paint?

Each class is up to 2 hours of abstract hand-painting on one of the following substrates:

• 11” × 14” Canvas

• 6” Terra Cotta Pottery Planter

• One pair of Wooden Earrings

• 4 Greeting Cards with Envelopes

What Supplies Are Included?

Painting Substrates (Canvas, Pottery, Earrings or Cards)

Quality Artist Paint, Painting Tools, Pens, Paint Markers, Varnish, etc.

Plastic Table Cloth or Individual Disposable Placemats

Paper Towels, Wet Wipes, Cups, and Pitchers for Brush and Tools Cleaning

*The Artist will need at least 30 minutes before class for set-up and after for clean-up at no extra cost.

What Does the Host Need to Provide?

Chairs, tables, trash bins, and access to a working sink to refill water for clean-up and for students to wash their hands if needed.

If you choose the “Instruction Only” option, a list of recommended materials and supplies will be provided for you.

How Much Does This Cost?

2-5 Students - $55 per person

6-10 Students - $50 per person

11-19 Students – $45 per person

20+ Students – $40 per person

*Art Instruction Only - $250 for 2 hours

**Speaker Only - $125 for up to 1 hour

*All art materials and supplies are to be provided by the Host. The Artist can provide a list of recommendations.

** Motivational speaking only, no art instruction.

Booking, Payment, and Agreements

As of January 4, 2024

BOOKING: Classes must be booked at least 3 weeks before the event date.

TRAVEL LOCATION: Classes booked within Polk County, Florida, incur no additional travel fee. A $25 Travel Fee is required for travel within the Tampa Bay and Orlando area. For virtual class options or travel beyond these locations, you can contact me for more details at Desirae.Ofori@gmail.com

DEPOSIT: A 50% deposit is required to reserve the date and will be used towards class supplies and preparation; it is non-refundable.

DATE CHANGE: If the host needs to change the scheduled date, the deposit can be transferred to one new date within 6 months of the original date. If there is an Artist-related issue with keeping the scheduled date, the host can choose to receive a refund or reschedule the date within 6 months of the original date.

PAYMENT BALANCE: The remaining balance is due one week before the class scheduled date. If there are any host-related issues with the scheduled date, the deposit and balance paid can be transferrable to one new date within 6 months of the original date.

MISSING STUDENTS: It is recommended to book for the minimum number of students you expect. If needed, you can pay for additional students at the time of the final payment. Day of refund for missing students is not an option due to class-specific preparation and supplies purchased in advance. However, if an adjustment needs to be made before the final payment is made a price adjustment will be provided.
