Original handpainted acrylic painting on a 16"x24" canvas, sealed with gloss varnish and painted 3/4” edges. Signed, dated, and titled on the back. Includes Certificate of Authenticity.

For months I worked on this painting on and off “upside” down, oblivious that the intricate detail in the center was turning into a parrot or tropical bird. It wasn't until one morning feeling stuck trying to make sense of it, that I decided to add extra gold line work and then turned it around. Suddenly, almost immediately it struck me - a Tropical bird had emerged!

The beginning stages of this painting inspired the colors and movement of the “Closer to My Dreams” painting when I felt stuck. That painting has led me to create at least six other paintings! It reminds me that if what we end up becoming or doing doesn’t seem to line up with our initial intent, it’s okay! You may have to pivot at times, or even step back and take a break, but whatever you do, don’t give up on yourself or your dreams. Don't be afraid to try something new! Go for it! Soar! Eventually, you'll reach the destiny of where you are supposed to be all along.
