A Prayer for Spiritual Awareness, Forgiveness, and Holy Conviction

This is a simple yet effective prayer I shared on social media today. I found myself feeling convicted and equally guilty of the things I was pointing out wrong in others. I knew I needed to repent in order to find rest and compassion in my heart moving forward.

I hope that my prayer to God is one you will also share with him. I pray that it encourages you and strengthens your faith as well.

The Prayer

"Lord, help me to be aware of my own shortcomings, the areas for personal growth, and the need for spiritual surrender to You.

Help me to stay privy to the tricks of the enemy, big and small.

Help me to remain honorable as I learn, and You reveal new things to me.

Give me discernment to be able to see the difference between truth and opinion.

Forgive me for falling short and for turning to my own limited knowledge and understanding.

Forgive me for judging incorrectly without compassion and out of anger and fear.

Thank You for the conviction.

Thank You for the opportunity to reflect.

Thank You for showing and giving me grace and mercy as I continue to pursue Your will, Your holiness, and Your righteousness.

In Jesus Name, Amen.”

Now What?

Share it, screenshot it, journal it, pray it again and again as much as you feel the need to or whenever you find yourself slipping and desire to get back on track.

Love, DeKelis
